Good, because we're looking for a tech art generalist!  

As our Tech Artist, you  play a key role in developing our games. Your perspective will be essential for creating and harmonizing all components that make a polished and detailed game.

Be the voice of our players and secure smooth and seamless gameplay. 


What you get to do as a Desperado:

  • Work as a bridge between the artists and programmers, handle art assets and implement them into the engine;
  • Create high-quality in-game visuals;
  • Handle creation of VFX and animated content;
  • Implement the look, style and aesthetics of the game; 
  • Handle implementation of Ui systems;.
  • Device performance optimization;
  • Advocate for technically sound art pipelines and best practices;
  • Write editor extensions, tools and scripts to help artists make or integrate assets to the game;
  • Solve challenging technical issues in the asset pipeline;
  • Collaborate with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game problems;
  • Keep an eye on technological breakthroughs and make sure we reflect these in our product development.


Who you are:
  • 3+ years in the game industry or multimedia;
  • Well organized and independent;
  • An eye for UX (user experience) and visual quality;
  • Strong knowledge of Unity Game Engine;
  • Strong knowledge of animation techniques and principles;
  • Knowledge of visual effects and particle systems;
  • Proficient knowledge of C#.
Bonus points:
  • Good understanding of modern art pipelines for 2D/3D (Photoshop, Blender, etc);
  • Experience with mobile development;
  • Experience with Unity rendering pipelines;
  • Experience with Unity UI or other UI systems;
  • Experience optimizing graphical performance;
  • Experience developing custom shaders;
  • Experience with git or other version control.
